Vestiaire Collective x Copenhagen Fashion Week x Trine’s Wardrobe

Den her kuffert er netop kommet ind på mit kontor for de næste 3 dage under Copenhagen Fashion Week samarbejder jeg med en af mine yndlings sites nemlig Vestiaire Collective.

Hvis I ikke allerede kender Vestiaire Collective, så er det et paradis af en webshop, der sælger brugte luksus varer. Hvis du går og leder efter en ny Chanel taske, Céline sko eller et Hérmes tørklæde, så er det her du skal kigge.

I forbindelse med ‘Fashion Month’ – altså måneden hvor der er modeuger rundt omkring i verdenen, har Vestiarie Collective pakket en kuffert som de giver til en person i hver af modeuge byerne. Kufferten var først i Berlin, så Stockholm, nu København, og når jeg er færdig med den tager den til New York.

Kufferten er pakket med 4 ikoniske items som jeg så skal bruge i løbet af de tre næste dage under modeugen, og jeg glæder mig helt vildt. I just received this amazing suitcase at my office. The next three days during Copenhagen Fashion Week I’m doing a collaboration with one of my favorite sites Vestiaire Collective.

If you’re not already familiar with the sitem it’s a luxury resale store. So if you’re searching for the perfect Chanel bag, Céline shoes or Hérmes silk scarf this is the place to go to.

Vestiaire Collective has packed a suitcase that are travelling around the world during the Fashion Month. First stop was Berlin, then Stockholm, now Copenhagen and then New York etc. 

The suitcase is packed with 4 iconic pieces that I’m going to wear and style during Copenhagen Fashion Week, and I can’t wait. The Pieces are:

Hermes Kelly bag
This iconic bag was first designed by Robert Dumas in the 1930s and was originally named the ‘sac a courroie pour dames’ which translates into ‘bags with straps for ladies’. The bag was made famous by Actress, and later Princess of Monaco, Grace Kelly in 1956, when she used it to hide her pregnancy from the paparazzi. The Kelly, as it was later renamed, has been considered a timeless, classic ever since.

Yves Saint Laurent Smoking Jacket
Yves Saint Laurent introduced the now iconic Le Smoking tuxedo suit in 1966. The suit was the first of its kind and gained wide-spread attention from the fashion world. The tuxedo suit became an international symbol of empowerment for women, giving them the opportunity to dress in tailored pieces  generally worn by men of status, influence and power. Yves Saint Laurent kick-started an androgynous trend for women that remains both relevant and desirable to this day.

Burberry Trench
The Burberry trench takes its name from the trenches of the WW1, where it was originally designed by Thomas Burberry in 1912 to protect Army officers against the weather. Each feature was designed for a specific reason; the epaulettes were added to display the rank of office and the pleat on the black allowed for increased movement whilst on horseback. However, the most famous feature today is the checked inner lining, which is now synonymous with the Burberry brand. Worn by movie stars, sportsman and royalty alike, over time the trench coat has continued to transcend trends, and is revered by each new generation.

Chanel Breton
The breton top was introduced in 1858 as the uniform for the French Navy. Coco Chanel visited the French coast and was so inspired by the sailors uniform that she included the stripes in her 1917 nautical collection. Chanel adopted elements of men’s workwear into women’s fashion and had elevated Jersey fabric from basic to high fashion. In 1932 the breton was featured on the cover of French Vogue, forever marking its place in fashion.
